The Challenge: Seek the Kingdom of God first.

As humans, we spend a most of our lives chasing after things we can’t keep, things that don’t really help us. It’s time to change that. If you’re a follower of Jesus, you are told to seek first the kingdom of God. And to seek God’s righteousness. Seeking God’s kingdom and God’s righteousness should come before money, clothes, food, and drink. They are the supplies provided during the journey. The challenge: get our priorities straight. Those other things will be added to you along the way. They are neither the goal nor the destination.

  • Choose to love God instead of money – You can’t do both. [Matthew 6:19-24].

  • Choose a heavenly focus – Your physical needs are just supplies for the journey [Matthew 6:25-34].

  • Read and apply the scriptures – Ask God for more wisdom [James 1:5].

We were created to draw attention to God, not to ourselves, not to the economy, not to political agendas. – [1 Corinthians 6:19-20, 1 Corinthians 10:31]
